Jim Davis, the newest addition to the Connective Edge Resources consulting team, is currently the founder and President/CEO of Vino Vice, an event security company. Jim brings an extensive background in the public safety sector and provides superior knowledge and skills in advising and consulting companies specializing in this market.
Jim has over 35 years of law enforcement experience in the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense (DOD), the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and Vino Vice, Inc. His background includes experience as a military police officer, armed security officer and a peace officer. As a peace officer, his background includes: Reserve Deputy Sheriff (patrol), Courtroom Bailiff, Custody Deputy, Civil Process Deputy, Patrol Deputy, and a lengthy assignment in Technical Services Division. In addition, he brings supervisory and management experience both as a Sergeant and a Lieutenant at LASD. His last 10 years at LASD were spent managing complex, long-term technical projects in support of upgrades and technical improvements to departmental communications.
During the last 17 years of service at LASD, Jim consistently earned “Outstanding” performance evaluations. Jim’s work ethic and accomplishments earned him numerous awards and recognition including:

During his last 10 years of service with LASD, Jim served on two separate committees of the International Associations of Chiefs of Police (IACP), making major contributions in Digital In-Car Video evolution and developing media standards for law enforcement In-Car Video. During this time he consulted with the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center and industry leaders in In-Car Video, throughout the country.
Jim attended Citrus Junior College in Glendora, CA and California State University, Los Angeles majoring in Criminal Justice at both institutions.
Jim remains active in the Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association. He also is an active member of the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce.
