Norma Davis, Ph.D.

Dr. Norma Davis

Dr. Norma Davis has more than 25 years of business management experience in service and manufacturing environments. She has both financial and operational experience in defense, aerospace, high tech and commercial industries. She has senior management experience in accounting, materials management, project management, manufacturing operations, warehousing, systems implementations and project management.

Professional Experience

In her current capacity as President of Connective Edge Resources, Norma works with client organizations and senior management teams in the areas of information systems, change management, communication skills, process improvements, coaching and mentoring, and supervisory skills.

Faculty Member

Norma currently serves as an adjunct professor for California State University, Fullerton in the School of Business and Economics. She teaches Operations Management and Operations Planning & Control in the Department of Management to upper division undergraduate students. She also serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Redlands Business School. She teaches Management, Operations Management and Strategy to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Publications

Norma has presented her published work at the Hawaii International Conference on Business. In addition, she has conducted numerous speaking engagements on effective communication, organizational culture, and leadership. She has also conducted numerous training sessions on improving internal business processes in order to better service the customer.

Professional Accomplishments

Norma is an active member of the Academy of Management and the Association of Operations Management (APICS). She participates in peer reviews of papers for publication and facilitates panel discussions. Norma has been selected as a delegate for the Operations Management Delegation to China in 2007 for the People to People Ambassador Program. Founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, this program seeks to promote cultural exchanges and communication to foster cooperation across international borders.

Education

Norma received her doctoral degree in Executive Management from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. Her coursework concentrated on organizational behavior and strategic management. Her research focuses on organizational culture and leadership and their impact on workplace behavior. Norma earned both her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
